It’s time to walk your school schedule, go to office supply stores to pick up notebooks and number two pencils, start waking up early, and buy some better fitting jeans. Yep, it’s almost time to go back to school, and today I have four outfit ideas to help relieve the pressure to find the perfect first day of school outfit that we all feel deep down. I love all of these outfits and I think they would be perfect for making a good first impression on your new teachers and classmates. I’ve also gathered some of my favorite accessories at the end for those of you who have to wear a uniform to school! So, let’s get started!
Sweet in Seersucker
If you’re looking for a classic prep look, this is the one for you. I absolutely adore this skirt, it’s seersucker and scalloped (insert heart eye emoji here). Paired with a nice oxford, you’ll give off a classy and sweet vibe to everyone you greet.

Lilly on White
I think that we all have one particular favorite Lilly Pulitzer item by the end of the summer, so why not bring it into the school year? I’ve been loving this Elsa lately and I think the fun colors are bound to brighten any dreary school day. You can make just about any Lilly piece casual enough for school by pairing it with a basic solid like white jeans or a plain tee.

Sweater Weather
Even though it’s not quite time for cable knits and vests, there’s no reason you couldn’t wear a light sweater like this one on a cool day. You can easily dress up sweaters by adding nice accessories like this precious tortoise bow headband from See Blair.

Blair Waldorf-ish
This look was inspired by none other than Queen B herself. A simple but fancy white oxford paired with some light-wash jeans and nice flats seem a lot like something Blair might wear to school in the Upper East Side if it weren’t for her uniform. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Blair Waldorf-inspired outfit without a nice headband, and this hot pink “Blair Goes To The Beach” headband from Bows & Kites is sure to do the trick.

Accessorizing A Uniform
As you can probably tell based on the fact that I have a fashion blog, I love clothes. I love having the freedom to wear pretty much whatever I want to school and quite honestly I would hate wearing a uniform. If I did go to a school that required me to wear a uniform, I would cope with some fun accessories! Below I’ve linked a few I think you might like. Click on the product image to shop!

I love the B&K headband! Put it on my list as something I must purchase 🙂
