Holiday Gift Guide 2015

Hey guys!  I just had my last two midterm exams last Friday, and I am so happy to finally be out of school for Christmas break!  Today, I’ve made a holiday gift guide for those people in your life that you just can’t seem to find the right gift for.  I know that at this point, many of these gifts will be late because they have to be ordered, but it’s the thought that counts.  All of the products are linked, so all you have to do is click on the item to shop!

For Your Mom

Okay, for some this one might be easier than for others, but I always have the hardest time picking a gift for my mother.  She deserves the world (I mean, she brought you into it,) but if you’re in your teen years, you probably can’t afford that.  Most moms have a thing for coffee, so cute mugs are always a good idea!  They also love anything that has to do with their kids, so a photo blanket with a family photo printed on it is another great idea!  I got one of these for my mom last year and she was in love with it, plus you can even order one at your local Walmart!

For the Music Loving Friend

I definitely have a few friends that are always on the hunt for a new song to obsess over, so I felt that this would be a necessary addition to the list.  Make a playlist of some of your favorite songs that you would like to recommend to your friend in your best handwriting, then glue it to a cute piece of scrapbook paper.  Add in an iTunes gift card (or a gift card for whatever other program they use to purchase music) so they can buy all of your suggested tunes and you’re good to go!

For the Guy Friend

Depending on wether he’s athletic, preppy, or granola-y (the kind of guy that has a water bottle covered in stickers, goes on hikes all the time, and eats pretty much only organic things) you could get him a gift card to somewhere like Nike, Vineyard Vines, or REI.  Even if it’s not a big gift card, that’s still twenty dollars he doesn’t have to spend.  You could also get him a bow tie or fun socks. (P.S. – the J.Crew bow tie I linked is currently 30% off!)

For the Athletic Friend

Athletes can be hard to shop for because things you know they like, like Nike shorts and running shoes, can be pretty pricy.  I personally think these Lilly Wrap Headbands from Greek Chic Boutique are the perfect solution.  They’ll keep their hair out of their face while looking absolutely adorable.  After a tough practice, a nice, long bath with a Frosting Company bath fizzie is the perfect way to relax while getting clean and soothing your skin.  You can even use my code, “ShopFaith”, to get 15% off!

For the Lazy Friend

We all have that one friend that would rather stay in and rewatch every episode of Friends while eating cookies than go out, and these gifts are perfect for your favorite couch potato.  Surely you’ve seen or heard the “namast’ay in bed” pun before, and this pillow from Hopealittle Digital Designs is just too cute (it also comes in black on white!)  Another great gift idea for your bed-bound friend is a nice candle.  One of my personal favorite candles is the Capri Blue Volcano candle (the one you smell while in Anthropologie).

For Your Best Friend

Best friends usually fall on the easiest to shop for end of the spectrum, or the hardest.  This one honestly depends on the person, but some good ideas include a cute pair of fuzzy socks, a framed picture of the two of you, a nice pair of earrings, or maybe a replacement of something they already have that they’ve been complaining about breaking or losing (this shows that you care and pay attention).  I always include long letters with my best friends’ gifts as well.  These letters typically include a ton of inside jokes and a thank you for being there for me when I need them.

That’s it!  I hope this helps you all shop for your loved ones!  Merry Christmas!
