Derby-Inspired Outfit Collab

The day of the Derby is almost here!  While I have never attended the Derby, I’ve watched it on television a handful of times and have attended the Keeneland Races (a smaller horse racing event in Kentucky) a few times, so I feel like I get the gist.  One of my favorite things about what I’ve seen of the Derby and Keeneland is the attire.  Big hats, Lilly dresses, bow ties, and seersucker galore!  Today I’m collaborating with my friend Cayleigh from CNPrepster (linked here) to share a Derby-inspired look with you all.  Cayleigh’s blog is adorable and I always love reading her posts, be sure to check out her blog here and see her Derby-inspired outfit here!

For my Derby-inspired look, I paired my Lauren James scalloped light pink seersucker skirt with a simple white embroidered top, a statement necklace, my favorite gold jewelry, and gold Jack Rogers sandals.  I’m a sucker for all things scalloped and this skirt is no exception!  It easily matched this simple white top and the embroidery adds an elegant detail.  While at Keeneland last year I saw a ton of girls in their Jack Rogers so I thought they would be fitting for this look as well.  I think the statement necklace really ties the look together because the faux pink stones in it match the seersucker perfectly!  As for the rest of my jewelry, I’m wearing my Kendra Scott Danielle earrings in white pearl, my Kate Spade watch, and my favorite white and gold roll on beaded bracelets from Sashka Co. (who provides artisans in Nepal with full time jobs!).  Enjoy!
