Throughout this past week, I enjoyed my final days of summer and began my junior year of high school. I rarely share “Outfits of the Week” posts due to my busy academic and extracurricular schedule, so I thought this week would be perfect given my lack of extensive after-school commitment in the beginning of the year. You can read my last two “Outfits of the Week” posts here! I’m so excited to share these outfits with you because I absolutely love everything about each and every one of them! Let’s get on with it, shall we?
I planned on spending Monday selling yearbook ads and walking new class schedules with a friend I’m on the yearbook staff with, but after a couple denied ads we drove to the school and were told that there was a big county meeting going on so we couldn’t come in. Point being, this was the outfit I planned on wearing to sell ads and meet my new teachers for the first time. I absolutely adore this embroidered white top from LOFT that was handed down to me from my stepmother early in the summer. I styled it with a pair of pixie cut jeans and gold Jack Rogers sandals for a simple, put together look. I kept the jewelry to simple white and gold pieces including a fun gold double wrap (I keep getting questions about where this necklace is from but it was actually a hand me down from a family friend!), Kendra Scott Danielle earrings, my gold Kate Spade watch, a couple Sashka Co. bracelets, a gold MantraBand, a silver Giving Key bangle, and an adorable cuff bangle from Cuffed by Nano that says “eat pray hustle.” Cuffed by Nano sells a ton of adorable cuffs, rings, necklaces, and chokers in silver, rose gold, and gold and she even offers customization! Check out Cuffed by Nano’s online store here.
I went to work at 10:00 a.m. then went to the school to finally successfully walk my schedule at 1:30 p.m. I wore this simple, comfortable yet cute outfit both to work and to the school to meet my new teachers and get an idea of my path for the school days to come. I love this top because it looks cute and effortless and it’s so soft. I paired it with the same style of pixie cut jeans from Monday’s outfit and a pair of brown lace up sandals. I wore the cutest black choker with a gold crescent charm from KEJBeads along with my Kendra Scott Danielle earrings and some white and gold bracelets to top off the otherwise simple look.
My last day of summer, I spent the morning prewriting blog posts then I went into work around 1:00 p.m. I purchased this top at Old Navy a couple years ago but I still wear it because it’s super soft and I adore the embroidery and tassel details! I paired it with some pixie cut jeans and Jack Rogers for an easy look. I wore some simple white and gold jewelry to top off the outfit. I love layering my Kendra Scott necklace with this silver and gold cross pendant necklace, but it was passed down to me and sadly I couldn’t find it online.
Thursday was my first day of school, so I obviously put a lot of thought into this outfit. I wanted it to be something different that no one else would have but also something simple and easily likable. I purchased this blue poncho-style top at a boutique in Rockport, TX with the first day of school in mind and it was perfect! I love how soft it is and I think the way it drapes is so pretty. I dressed it up a bit with a pair of white jeans (my go-to for the first day of school!) and gold Jack Rogers. As for jewelry, I wore rose quartz Kendra Scott Danielle earrings, the gold double wrap necklace I wore Monday, my gold Kate Spade watch, and a simple stack of blush pink, white, and gold bracelets.
top (only available to boutiques through wholesale, contact the boutique I bought mine from here via Facebook and ask about the blue Love In poncho! It was about $44.) // white jeans // sandals // necklace (similar) // earrings // white and gold beaded bracelet // blush pink beaded bracelet // MantraBand // Giving Key bangle // cross bracelet (similar) // watch (similar) // ring
It’s no secret I love a good ruffle, and sleeve ruffles are no exception! I bought this top at Zara for under $13.00 (not even on sale!) while shopping in Texas and I absolutely adore it. I was unable to find it online so I linked a couple similar tops below, however the shirt wasn’t even on sale when I purchased it under a month ago, so I’d be surprised if it wasn’t still in stores! I wore the top with a pair of dark wash jeans rolled up and some gold Jack Rogers sandals. I wanted to add a pop of blue, so I wore this beautiful double wrap lariat necklace from DesignsbyShelbs. Be sure to check out DesignsbyShelbs here for more unique jewelry and get 15% off any $15+ purchase using my code “FAITH15”! The rest of my jewelry consists of pretty much the same basic pieces I’d been wearing all week.
