Unfortunately, due to a ton of weekend travels and busy school weeks I was unable to follow through with several of my monthly series during September. I really hate that that happened but I have to prioritize school and I hate turning down an adventure! Anyways, today I’m continuing one of my favorite series, “An Outfit Inspired by…” with a post featuring an outfit inspired by the well known Instagrammer and blogger behind Belle of the Ball (@belleoftheball45 on Instagram); Abigail. I love coming up with outfits for this series because it’s so neat to realize how many things I have that I could totally see some of my fashion idols wearing. You can find my other “An Outfit Inspired by…” posts here if you’re interested in reading more! Enjoy!
Abigail is a current sophomore at Mercyhurst University. Despite her considerably young age, she has a ton of blogging experience under her belt, including working with countless brands like Vineyard Vines, SheIn, and Carolina Clothing Company and even being featured by Teen Vogue. She’s been blogging since 2014 and I’d say she’s one of the girls who paved the road for teenage fashion bloggers everywhere. Abigail uses her 60,100 follower Instagram, 8,000 follower Pinterest, and the occasional YouTube video to share her classic, preppy style with the world. Abigail was without a doubt one of my biggest influences when I began my own blog and I still look up to her style.

Abigail styled the most adorable brown corduroy skirt last fall, and at the time I loved it so much I decided to purchase the same one for myself (I still wear it all the time!). When she styled it again more recently, it occurred to me that this skirt should definitely make it to my outfit inspired by Abigail. It’s easy to see just by scrolling through Abigail’s Instagram that she loves feminine details as well as layering, so I thought this pale blue button down with a ruffled collar would be perfect to layer under my blue vintage Ralph Lauren sweater. She also seems to be pretty fond of leopard print right now, so I finished the ensemble with a pair of leopard print flats from J.Crew. I kept the jewelry pretty simple with a gold monogram necklace, gold Kate Spade watch, and a little gold pave heart cuff from Aqua Kiwi. The earrings are somewhat hard to see, but they’re just little pearl dangles. Abigail doesn’t actually have pierced ears and often converts fun styles to clip ons so she can wear them anyways (I know this from watching her Instagram stories haha I’m not creepy I swear)! I could definitely see her doing that with these classic pearls.
Thanks for reading! Let me know who you’d like to see an outfit inspired by next!
The bracelet from Aqua Kiwi featured in this post was sent to me in exchange for a feature in my blog. However, all opinions are honest and my own. I don’t feature products I don’t truly love!
