It’s All “Gucci”

A little over a month ago, I shared a dupe I found for the trendy (and expensive) Double G Gucci belt with y’all over on my Instagram story (follow my Instagram here!).  I received several direct messages asking about how I would style the belt and whether or not I’d recommend it, so today I’m killing two birds with one stone and spilling all the details on this awesome find as I style it!  I seriously love the look I’m sharing with y’all today and I hope you do too!  Enjoy!

I’d been eyeing the trendy $450 Double G Gucci belt practically all summer with no intention of paying the hefty price for something I was sure would be old news within a couple years, so in September I finally decided to search for a dupe on trusty old Amazon.  After maybe five minutes of searching, I found one.  The knock-off came in three colors (I chose black), had several good reviews (including pictures), and was only $15; an easy yes if I’d ever seen one.  I ordered the belt and received it within a few days, just in time to pack for Music Midtown (read my post about the festival here).  I was honestly pretty impressed with it.  The “leather” was unconvincing but not obviously faux and the buckle was a little smaller than that of the authentic belt’s, but for $435 less than the real thing I still think that’s pretty good.  Now that I’ve had it for about a month the gold is beginning to rub off of the buckle a little, but that’s not really too noticeable unless you’re looking for it so I’m not too disappointed.  Overall, I’m definitely satisfied with this dupe and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable way to hop on the designer belt trend!  Shop the belt here.

My favorite way to style the belt is definitely with a denim skirt.  As fall temperatures are setting in, I decided to tuck a grey v-neck sweater with cream jersey stripes and pink wrists into the button-down skirt.  The cream stripes coordinate perfectly with my velvet choker from Bella Designs by Bree, so I thought this would be the perfect time to try styling the choker!  I layered the choker with a gold layered necklace set from H&M as well as a long vertical bar necklace from Aqua Kiwi.  I love layering necklaces and I think these pieces work really well together!  I kept the rest of my jewelry pretty simple with my everyday bracelets, gold Kate Spade watch, plain band rings, and gold hoop earrings. I’ve been especially loving my gold high tops as of late and they really tied all the gold details in this outfit together.

The choker from Bella Designs by Bree as well as the necklace from Aqua Kiwi featured in this post were sent to me in exchange for a feature in my blog.  However, all opinions are honest and my own.  I don’t feature products I don’t truly love!
