Y’all know firsthand that I’m no stranger to experimenting with new trends, but as much as I’ve seen silk scarves over the past year or so I just haven’t felt much of a desire to try them out myself. I recently received a pair of silk scarves from Urban Outfitters for Christmas and figured two that came free to me meant it was about time I jumped on the trend! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite ways to style one of my silk scarves. I hope this look inspires you to try them out yourself, they add such a sophisticated and polished touch to any outfit (maybe that’s why flight attendants wear them)!
The scarf I chose to wear in this look is white with simple blue and navy stripes. To match the scarf’s navy and bring out the light blue, I opted for a cute navy tank with fringe and embroidered straps. Given that it’s around thirty or forty degrees in South Carolina now, I layered a soft grey cardigan over the tank to keep warm and give the look a cozier feel. I dressed up the ensemble with a brown corduroy skirt and pearly Kendra Scott earrings, which I think kept the look feminine and fun despite the silk scarf’s often mature use. As for shoes, I wore a simple pair of taupe suede booties that match just about anything, including this look!
