One thing I really love about being away from school for the summer is the opportunity to try out fun trends that might be a little too “out there” for your classmates. Experimenting with different clothing pieces is so fun until you’re shot down by a peer who thinks your outfit is a little over the top! Today I’m sharing a fun piece I’ve been a little hesitant to wear to school since I got it for Christmas; my silk scarf. I love the way this outfit came together and I hope y’all do too! Enjoy!
I knew I wanted to share an outfit featuring this scarf, so I chose the base of the outfit around its colors. This navy off the shoulder top easily matches the scarf but the bare shoulders also bring more attention to the scarf’s fun pattern. I like the way my brown corduroy skirt accents the navy, so even though corduroy is supposed to be for cooler seasons, I broke some rules and pulled it out. My old Target lace up sandals match this skirt perfectly, so I knew they’d be a good fit for the look. I accessorized with some simple bracelets and rings and accented the largely dark look with my white pearl Kendra Scott earrings.
