I think it’s pretty fair to say I’m typically a rule follower, whether that be at home, in school, or in fashion. That said, I’ve been breaking a lot of my own fashion rules lately, including abiding by the good old “no white after Labor Day” rule. Today I’m sharing an outfit that I think is just too good to give up when the weather is still so summery, and it just so happens to include a white denim skirt after Labor Day…sorry not sorry. Enjoy!
This pretty peplum top with ruffled sleeves and the flattering v-neck is my favorite shade of pink, so I knew I had to buy it when I saw it at my local Marshalls over the summer. I’ve loved styling it in a variety of ways, but I prefer to pair it with a white pant or skirt to keep the look light and girly. My white denim skirt is the perfect match and I love the way the skirt’s distressing balances out the top’s girly ruffles. I’ve been super into stars lately (as you’ve probably noticed), so it’s no surprise that I reached for these gold star lace up sandals when searching for a shoe to complete the look. As for jewelry, I went for a few simple white and pieces and decided to double wrap my favorite Azúcar Accessories white druzy necklace for a trendy touch!
