Typically the phrase “black and blue” refers to bruises or perhaps emotional scarring, but how often have you thought of it as a color combination? Today’s ensemble combines a pretty pale blue top with some edgier black ripped jeans for a cool, chic look. Enjoy!
If you know me personally you know I’m an online shopping addict (that’s why I’m giving it up for Lent! More on that here). I’m on far too many brands’ email lists and I simply can’t resist a good sale. Lucky for me, when I purchased this adorable light blue faux wrap top from J.Crew, it was marked down to under $20, so the damage wasn’t too bad. For this look, I paired the delicate blue top with a pair of black raw hem ripped jeans from Old Navy. I opted for some simple black Vans to match that somewhat “edgy” feel for lack of better words. To bring a little extra dose of chic, I wore one of my current favorite pairs of statement earrings (from Etsy!) which resemble some glitzy angel wings along with my simple asymmetrical initial necklace from Anthropologie. I’ll let you in on a little secret – those earrings look pretty expensive if you ask me, but they’re only $25!
