A Blue Jean Skirt in Bandera

As many of you know if you read my “Texas Travel Diary; Week 1” post (read it now here), I recently returned from a two week trip to Texas.  While I was there I spent a few days in a super small town about an hour and a half outside of San Antonio called Bandera, otherwise known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World.”  I stayed at my grandparents’ house there and they have the most picturesque well on their yellow grassy property, so I had took advantage of that and shoot a quick fashion post for y’all!  Today I’m sharing that outfit, enjoy!

On the way to Bandera after our stay in the JW Marriot San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, we stopped at a huge mall called La Cantera and I picked up the perfect denim skirt at Forever 21 for just $12.00, score!  It’s not too short but not awkwardly long, it’s not too tight but not too loose, it’s the perfect medium wash (is that a thing?) denim, and has the cutest bronze buttons down the front!  I styled this fabulous find with a cute white embroidered top from H&M (I bought it last year but I’ve linked a couple similar tops below!), gold Jack Rogers sandals, a fun pair of purple stacked tassel earrings from E. Taylor Designs for a pop of color, and some simple white and gold jewelry.  I hope you love this look as much as I do!

Vacay in Jadelynn Brooke Collab

On my recent trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas (read my Atlantis Travel Diary and watch a video I made about the trip here), my go to cover up to walk to the beach or waterpark was a Jadelynn Brooke tee or tank with athletic shorts.  Today I’m sharing my favorite of these outfit combos in a collaboration with Avery of Pearls and Paddleboards (linked here)!  Avery is a fellow Jadelynn Brooke ambassador and a new friend of mine.  I love her blog and if you enjoy reading mine you should check hers out here!  She will be styling the same Jadelynn Brooke tank another way in her post, so be sure to read it here once you read mine!

I adore the color of this tank; the orange is bright and fun but also not obnoxiously neon, plus the tank is super soft.  It says “VACAY VACAY VACAY 2017” in white, pink, and mint with white polka dots, and I love the palm tree that extends from the white word!  I like to wear my shirts big, so you can hardly see my shorts in these pictures, but I’m wearing my favorite mint Jadelynn Brooke FIT shorts that match the mint font on the shirt perfectly!  You can score this tank and these shorts or any other Jadelynn Brooke products 15% off using my code “FLSHS16”, shop here!  I’m also wearing a few simple, casual bracelets, my Kendra Scott necklace, and my old pink chacos.  Enjoy!

Out of the Country & Off the Shoulder

Last week, my family took a short trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas for spring break (read my travel diary and watch a video I made about the trip here).  I had a marvelous time and today I’m sharing my favorite look from the trip!  I wore this outfit to dinner on our first full day.  I love the simplicity in this navy off the shoulder top and I think it looks so classy paired with white jeans.  I completed the ensemble with my hot pink Longchamp purse, gold Jack Rogers sandals, and white and gold jewelry.  Don’t mind the slight sunburn on my shoulders, haha.  Enjoy!

Fuchsia Sleeves in Forsyth Park

One of my favorite details on any piece of clothing is a pop of color, whether it be a print lining the inside of a coat that peeks out when you cuff the sleeves or a color blocked hemline.  This outfit features an adorable Madewell sweater I recently picked up at the J.Crew Warehouse.  This sweater at first might appear to be a plain grey v-neck, but the sleeves have two cream jersey stripes and a pop of pink on the wrist, how cute is that?  I finished the look for a day of touring with jeans, converse sneakers, and my favorite bag for traveling; my Longchamp tote (which coincidentally matches the wrists of my sweater perfectly).  This outfit is one I wore while on my family trip to Savannah (read my travel diary here,) so I also inserted a few photos of the location of this shoot, Forsyth Park.  Forsyth Park was absolutely stunning.  My favorite features of the area were the fountain and the tree-lined pathway leading up to it.  Boy, the view was gorgeous.  I hope you like this outfit and Forsyth Park as much as I do!  Enjoy!

Gingham on River Street

Today I’m sharing one of the outfits I wore while in Savannah over Christmas break (read my travel diary here.)  I loved the weather in Savannah; while it was a bit chilly at night the days were warm enough for sandals and short sleeves!  This outfit was perfect for a day of shopping, sight seeing, and walking through Savannah (even though brand new Jack Rogers weren’t the comfiest shoes… I survived.)  I’ve had this adorable gingham print Gap top for about a year but I linked another cute navy gingham top from J.Crew below!  I paired this top with jeans, gold Jack Rogers, my new Kendra Scott earrings, and some basic bangles for a simple and chic look for the day.  Enjoy!

A Pretty Headband & An Embroidered Top

The outfit in today’s post is actually one that I wore while I was visiting family in Lynchburg earlier this week (I had a recap prepared and I even made a video to share but I COULD NOT get it to upload into a blog post… I’m still super disappointed.  Hopefully I can find a way to share it with you all later!)  I’ve had this embroidered J.Crew top for about a year now, but I always love finding new ways to style it!  In this post I styled it with a pair of jeans and nude flats, but gave the look an extra preppy touch with a velvet headband from Gina Made It!  Gina Made It is an online boutique that carries a ton of adorable hair accessories including headbands, bows, pony scarves, and scrunchies!  Be sure to check Gina Made It out here.  I am also carrying my absolute favorite bag for travel.  This hot pink Longchamp Le Pliage tote holds my phone, camera, wallet, brush, a book, and more!  I always use my Le Pliage whether it’s a car trip to Lynchburg, a flight to Texas, or a cruise to Honduras.  I love the pop of color that the tote adds to this outfit in particular.  Enjoy!
